Morning

Morning
I wake and find you gone.
Though I miss you at this moment,
I know you will return to me.
I turn over and breathe in your scent from the pillows.
That scent is intoxicating to me,
I cannot get enough.
I get out of bed and wander though the house.
Thoughts of you cross my mind,
sending waves of passion through me.
I tremble and sigh, needing you again.
Your touch, your voice, your breath on my skin.
I ache inside.
In my mind's eye I can see us.
Reflections of last night echo.
I see the entangled bodies,
taste again the salt on your skin.
I am burning.
I get into the shower.
Washing the scent of you from me.
Again the images crash into my mind.
Wet hands glide over slick skin,
Gliding over places you set aflame.
They cannot be extinguished.
I emerge and dry myself.
Hearing a noise I turn,
I see you in the doorway,
smiling, seeing , knowing.
And at last again, touching.
I am made an inferno once more.
