What, if anything, is our obligation as a society to ensure that all people have enough to meet basic needs?

I think as Human Beings we have an obligation to love and care for each other. Knowing others "have your back" is reassuring and hopefully will catch on and spread through society. We must all work towards ensuring basic needs are met.
