PTSD Relentless Agony
The restless days, the sleepless nights
The agony within
The worthlessness, the lonely heights
When will it ever end?
The crack of dawn, the rays of light
Come rushing like the wind
The fear of dusk, the dread of night
The terror of this life.
The awful noise, the putrid smell
Thrashing in and out
The gruesome sound, a touch of hell
The fright not far away.
Oh for peace to sing to me
Oh for joy to smile for me
Oh for warmth to love on me
So may it always be.
