If you ain’t been where I have been
Seen what I have seen
Walked in my shoes

Times ain’t been easy that’s for sure
Now and then more than I could endure
Trials and temptations hanging round my door
Someone always asking and wanting more
Been hit up, messed up, and let down
And dizzy from all the round and round
I’ve felt anger and pain in this life
Been the reflection of battling strife
I’m done looking back, going to look ahead
No longer care who did that or what was said
Not going hold grudges, but forgive instead
Keep moving forward until the day I’m dead
I ain’t got no more hurt all bottled up inside
No more regrets, no more lies
Learned one and one ain’t always two
Sometimes just nothing left to do
But keep getting up and moving on
Because tomorrow brings a new dawn
And I’ve learned not to listen to what they say
Because you got to find your own way
And the truth whatever, wherever it may be
Look for it and you will see
It matters what you do
So don’t let them lie to you
You hold the power not them
Who are they to judge and condemn
So to “them” I say, Don’t Judge you, don’t judge me, because them ain’t got the eyes to see
Because I know “them” ain’t been where I’ve been
Seen what I’ve seen
