Steel fittings are one of the fundamental components for correctly functioning hydraulic systems, indispensable for serving the most diverse applications in the industrial, construction, hydraulic, pneumatic, agricultural, mining, and transport sectors.
In the choice of fittings, as for other components, a series of variables come into play: the fittings, based on the types, are calibrated to withstand different conditions of vibrations, vacuum, high pressures, and sudden temperature changes. And they are selectable based on tube type, thread, and size.
The stainless steel fittings proposed in the catalogue (a specific one dedicated to the assortment of hydraulic fittings) respond to any application and are reliable, resistant, and of quality, thanks to the care spent on each development element.
The Super Duplex Forged Fittings are particularly suitable for high temperature, lubrication, and high-pressure hydraulic systems, as well as for oils, solvents, and paints.
Duplex Socket Head Cap Screw fittings are the ideal solution in numerous installation areas. Wherever robustness, reliability, and resistance to corrosion are needed, these components perform a vital and solid function over time. Some of the most often used steel products for various purposes include steel pipes and steel bars. Here are these fundamental variations.
Different production process
The production process is arguably the most significant distinction between steel tubes and steel bars. There are two types of steel tubes: welded tubes and seamless tubes. A seamless steel tube is made by sliding coils of base metal and passing it through a mill tube, which forms it into a certain shape. Welded steel pipes and tubes are joined together, usually high-frequency or electrical resistance welding.
However, welding is not necessary for hollow bars. It can be produced by drilling a hole through a solid bar or by centrifugal casting, in which molten metal is poured into a mold that rotates at high speeds, creating a force that pushes the melt toward the inside of the mold, where it cools and solidifies.
Different dimensional tolerances
It can be more challenging for steel pipe to achieve high dimensional tolerances. However, hollow bars can be produced to be incredibly homogeneous and can also have very tight dimensional tolerances. The crystalline formations may impact the pipeline's desirable mechanical qualities that welding operations may produce close to the weld zone.
Extra weld metal must be eliminated to prevent stress concentrators in the welded pipeline. To ensure that a homogeneous end product is produced, the Duplex Eye Bolt must be annealed or heat treated after welding.
Choice of different materials
A wide range of materials can be used to make welded tubes, and in certain situations, harder and stronger materials are more challenging to extrude to create hollow bars. In selecting materials although practically any metal can be used to make steel pipes, hollow bars have a rigid restriction. In general, there are several design factors to consider before deciding whether to utilize a tube or a hollow bar including the application, the type of material, and the tolerances.
Steel tubes and hollow bars are available from Super Duplex Valves Manufacturers In India in various sizes and grades. Especially the hollow bar made of carbon steel!
