Stainless Steel EFW pipe (Electric Fusion Welding steel pipe) is an electron beam welding technique in which high-speed movement of the electron beam directed impact kinetic energy is converted to heat the workpiece, causing the melt to cool and the weld to form. Rolling plate and welding the seam from EFW steel pipe. A scarfing blade can be used to remove weld flash from the outer or inner surfaces. Heat treatment of the weld zone can also be used to hide the seam. The welded pipe has tighter dimensional tolerances than seamless pipe and can be less expensive if produced in similar volumes.
Stainless Steel 316H EFW Pipes are utilized in a variety of engineering applications. It is primarily used for welding dissimilar steel welding sheets of metal weldments with high power density, which can quickly heat to high temperatures and melt any refractory metals and alloys. Deep penetration welding is quick, and the heat-affected zone is limited, resulting in minimal performance influence on the joints. However, because X-ray welding is used, a specific welding room is required.
Materials of Stainless Steel EFW Pipe
At high temperatures, carbon steel pipes lose strength. The electric-resistance-welded pipe is unsuitable for service above 750 degrees Fahrenheit, although furnace-butt-welded pipes are. Pipes composed of stainless steel or other alloys should be considered for greater temperatures.
The ANSI B31.3 Code for Pressure Piping is used to calculate pressure ratings for steel pipes at various temperatures. The stress temperature values for the various steels used to make pipe are listed in ANSI B31.3.
Plates are used to make seam welded pipes, while dies are used to make seamless pipes. Steel pipes are generally galvanized or black-finished. Steel pipe material selection is crucial for application strength and durability, as well as ductility and machinability for joining and forming pipelines. The chosen pipe must be able to survive the conditions of use, particularly pressure, temperature, and corrosion.
