What are SWRF Flanges?
A SWRF flange is a type of flange that features a short neck and a flat face with a raised gasket surface. These flanges are very similar to slip-on flanges but feature a short neck that helps to reduce stress concentration at the base of the flange.
SWRF Flanges are typically available in sizes ranging from 1/2” to 24” and are used in piping systems to connect two pipes or a pipe and a valve or fitting.
Applications of SWRF Flanges
SWRF Flanges are widely used in various industries due to their versatility and easy installation process. Some of the commonly observed industries where SWRF flanges find their use include oil and gas, chemical,
petrochemical, power generation, water treatment, and more. These flanges are ideal for high-pressure applications as they provide a tight seal and can handle high-pressure stress. They also connect valves, pumps, and other equipment in pipelines.
Advantages of SWRF Flanges
SWRF flanges offer numerous advantages over other types of flanges. They are easy to install and require less welding, reducing installation time and costs. SWRF flanges also offer better stress distribution and reduce the risk of fatigue failure.
They are ideal for use in high-pressure applications that require a tight seal. Additionally, SWRF flanges feature a raised gasket surface that offers better leak resistance than other flanges.
