Occupational therapy (OT) teaches you how to adapt to different situations. It can help you with any task you have at school, work, or at home. If you need them, you'll learn how to use tools (also known as assistive devices). You'll meet with an occupational therapist, who can help you change your movements so you can finish your work, take care of yourself or your home, participate in sports, or stay active.
Meaning of an Occupational Therapists
They receive specialized occupational therapy graduate training. They're probably referred to as OTs. They must first obtain a license and then pass a national exam in order to practice. Some occupational therapists receive additional training in order to specialize in certain areas, such as hand therapy, treating people with low vision, or working with children or the elderly. Some aspects of your treatment are assisted by occupational therapy assistants. They don't evaluate you or create a treatment plan for you. An OT assistant must have an associate's degree.
