What is Nickel 200?
Nickel is a metal rather than an alloy, though it can be used as an alloying element. Nickel is mined in its raw form and then refined. This raw nickel is then refined to give it a metal-like appearance. Nickel is a hard and ductile metal. Nickel, like many other metals, is resistant to corrosion at high temperatures; as a result, it is frequently combined with other metals to form highly effective alloys. The naturally obtained metal is also long-lasting. Nickel has a carbon content of about 0.02 percent. Nickels come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including bars, wires, sheets, plates, coils, and so on. Nickel 200 is nickel grade, just like any other metal.
200 is a pure grade of nickel that can be fabricated; it has superior properties that can withstand harsh conditions and has a high resistance to corrosion in any difficult environment. Corrosive environments, alkalis, and acids are not a problem for the 200 products. This grade is more thermally and electrically conductive than nickel-based alloys, stainless steel, and low alloy steels. The 200 can withstand temperatures of up to 600°C. The chemical properties of grade 200 are as follows: nickel 99 percent, manganese 0.35 percent, carbon 0.15 percent, copper 0.25 percent, and iron 0.40 percent. Heat treatment and cold working can be used to fabricate grade 200. The heat treatment temperature must be between 1200°F and 2250°F.\

The chemical property of grade 200 is that carbon in 200 is 0.15 percent, whereas carbon in 201 is 0.02 percent. Heat treatment and cold working can be used to fabricate grade 200. The heat treatment temperature must be between 1200°F and 2250°F. The ideal temperature for annealing is 1300°F to 1600°F. Well, when heat treating and cold treating Nickel 200, care should be taken because it affects the alloy's properties. Nickel 200 products have a tensile strength of 60-85 Ksi, yield strength of 15-45 Ksi, and an elongation of 55-35 percent. The hardness ranges between 45 and 80 percent. All of these characteristics apply to round bars.
