If you are an MLM affiliate or retailer, chances are you get a free website with your membership. If you're promoting a replicated site like hundreds or even thousands of other websites and getting poor results, there's a reason.
You really need your own website to stand out from the crowd. Remember, the people who come to your website know nothing about you, and if you look the same as everyone else, it really has no potential to encourage potential customers to pay more attention to your website than anyone else in your company.
One solution is to create your own website. It's not hard for people who know it, but what about others who have little technical skills? You can hire someone to do this for you, but you have to be willing to pay a lot for this service.
Another option is to use a free service like Squidoo. You can create your own website on any topic. They are actually known as lenses. They are actually quite easy to make for people with little experience in this field. Squidoo also has its own forum where you can ask questions or seek technical assistance if needed.
You can also have as many lenses as you want. Make sure you add quality content and update your lenses from time to time. Each lens is inspected by a Squidoo employee. If they think the lens doesn't have enough interesting or informative content, it won't be approved. You are of course free to create an affiliate or MLM theme lens as long as it doesn't look like "spam" and is useful and easy to read for readers. Look at a different lens to get an idea of what other people are doing.
Your third option is to start blogging. Again, you can create a blog on any topic and download it for free from blogger.com or use WordPress and host your website. It usually doesn't cost much, but there is a monthly fee depending on who is hosting your blog.
You can blog about the affiliate program you are promoting. You should always buy something first before starting marketing. There's a good reason for that. You can't properly review something you haven't read or used yourself, you'll just rely on the sales page. In addition, you want to make sure that what you are reviewing and recommending is really a quality product. You don't want to be associated with anything that doesn't meet what's required on the sales side because it can.
