Home remedies for cough

Cough is an important for our throut and airways clear but too much cough is very harmful for our body sometimes coughing may mean you have disease and disorder.Coughing is a sudden expulsion of air from the lungs through the epiglottis at an amazingly fast speed.Cough control by home methods ,taking  honey,ginger,steam,hot drinks.Take one to two teaspoons of honey by itself or mix it with warm water or herbal tea. Honey has soothing properties that can help relieve coughing. Prepare ginger tea by boiling sliced ginger in water for 10 minutes.  Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water or take a hot shower to help moisten the airways and reduce coughing. Sleep and rest are essential when you're dealing with a cough, as they give your body the time it needs to heal. Causes:

• The common cold, flu, and other viral infections
•     Lung infections such as pneumonia or acute bronchitis
•    Allergies that involve the nose or sinuses
•     Cigarette smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke (or smoking other          
•     substances like marijuana)

Home care:

• If you have a dry, tickling cough, try cough drops or hard candy. Never give these to a child under age 3, because they can cause choking.
• Drink plenty of fluids. Liquids help thin the mucus in your throat making it easier to cough it up.
• Do not smoke, and stay away from secondhand smoke.
• Keep windows closed and use an air conditioner.

• Do not use fans that draw in air from outdoors.
