Months trek on,
Slowly but surely.
Brain full of chaos when,
Withdrawling from,
The bottle...
A state of prolonged numbness,
I force myself to find,
A sort of lively medication.
Within metallic crate,
Outstretched and firm,
One furry arm touches,
My steady index finger.
With me through cries,
Cuddling to deter focus.
An aide to meow,
To draw my attention, elsewhere.
Brief I write,
Sincere when saying,
"Thank you, my feline friend."
