There's been a bit of controversy in the hotel world regarding after it bought the brand in the year 2018.
It was questioned what the potential for globalization could be beyond its strong brand image that is based in Asia (though it does have Regent Hotels in Berlin and the southwest of Montenegro). IHG has pushed the brand forward this week, announcing plans to restore its Carlton Cannes traveler photos next year, which was previously it was an InterContinental and now it will be a Regent. IHG is doing a similar InterContinental-to-Regent conversion in Hong Kong.I went on a hard-hat excursion of the Regent construction site in Cannes earlier this morning and although I was not permitted to photograph what was going on, I can declare that this is going to be a major player within the luxury travel industry.
Attention to detail when renovating to its initial Belle Epoque design to modern beauty -- as well as renovating a parking area to create a lush garden with a pool that is open all year makes an experience at the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel an absolute must-visit in southern France.
"It's luxury at scale," Jane Mackie, senior vice head of global marketing for the luxury brand at IHG told me about Regent. "Six Senses has that very much sustainability-focused design [and] a bit more best time to visit jamaica minimalism. With Regent We do have the concept of unintentional harmony, and some unexpected elements within the style, but we often suggest that the design of the hotel should be a blend of decadence and 10."
All aboard!
The highlight of the whole conference was a train vehicle that was a part of that was parked just outside the location.
Not only did it provide for photos however, the train is at a time that Belmond is witnessing a rapid increase in demand for the luxurious train.
The company is also planning to launch new suites on the train later this year to meet demands. The company isn't the only one operating in the area: Accor plans to roll out its own line of Orient Express routes with restored trains in 2024.
