How many books have you read about success? How many videos have you watched? How many of these videos talk about patience? Problem none of them. Because they’re always trying to sell you a quick fix.
But the truth is success requires patience. Most success doesn’t come overnight. It’s the quiet dedication that pulls through. Doing the routine day in and day out. It’s a gradual increase.
I think we all know this, but the problem is we don’t stick to it. It’s not even an issue of quitting. Whether it’s subsconscious or not, when you don’t see the immediate success you forget about your goals. In today’s world, there’s a million things going on. And if we don’t see success then something else grabs our attention or we just kind of get tired of it and stop making our goals a focus.
You can’t be on and off with your goals. It’s never going to work. It has to be a regular routine. LIke brushing your teeth. You do it day in and day out otherwise what happens? You lose your teeth! You can’t stop doing these positive habits that are directed towards your goals. It’s toxic.
We’re not going to live forever. If you’re young you may not realize this yet, but time passes by fast. Sometimes a year can pass by and you don’t even realize that you weren’t pursuing your dreams. Years can go by and you don’t even think about it. Then one day you’re watching a video or your browsing the internet and you see someone else doing the one thing that you’ve always wanted to do. And you realize you stopped. You stopped working on your goals and you can’t even remember why.
People in this society are pretty determined. We don’t really quit things in a cowardly way. We just get distracted. And it happens.
If you have a big goal. One that really defines your life. You’ve got to keep it on your mind in every way we can. Write it down. Get visualizations. Put the reminder everywhere. Do whatever it takes to get your brain on track for your goals.
Once you develop a positive habit, it’s going to serve you forever. Because it’s hard to break habits. So make good ones, not negative ones. And make them early. Make them when you’re young.
