PERSONAL CHANGE

It’s funny how one small change can be the catalyst for a full scale personal growth movement. Sometimes all it takes is making one simple choice. Deciding to take up dance lessons, join a book club or volunteer at the local shelter can trigger a shift that eventually changes the course of your journey through life. Suddenly the perceived challenges you looked at with hopelessness take on a new light and you start finding different ways of tackling them.
A few short years ago, I joined hot yoga in the hopes of healing my spinal troubles. Once I opened up that door to self-improvement, a whole new way of living was out there on the doorstep, encouraging me to step out and greet it. When I look back now, I recognize a girl who was shackled by fear and self-doubt, and I am proud of her for shedding her restraints and stepping across that threshold into the unknown. It changed the way I perceived myself, and led to the absolute conviction that I command my own journey through this amazing life, one simple choice at a time.
