the victory

and the world provided for me 

was a child of divinity

someone had to make them theirs

for awhile 

to let me make it through the heartaches

for miles and miles 

the heavens stretched

and for what was given from the beginning

until i am finally forgiven

then i guess i go back to searching

because i needed your touch and security

some folks lack integrity

but with your kisses

there is nothing left to dismiss

i already miss you

you can dream 

come to see 

the light 

that shone in me 

well i'm going down 

to see

the ones who love me 

not judge

or live by hypocracy

the first thing they want is your soul

then they want you money

living like they own you

but its just their slavery

buy you with favors

or kill you with violence

or beat you until your silent

and make you forget your won beauty

but you need to do your duty

to live in the presence of the sun

you gotta learn to walk not to run

because the victory is already won
