I have not suddenly grown heart and backbone in the night.

There was no spree of reverse thievery that caused me to wake with strength that had not belonged to me prior.

What comes now is the result of many voids.

What comes now is the result of dampened pillows.

What comes now is the result of time lost in mirrors.

What comes now is the result of wondering and wandering.

What comes now, came slowly.

This is not a new revelation.

This is not a spike.

This is a peak.

This is the top of a mountain that was hard climbing.

I forgive the person that you are not.

I accept the kind words that you do not give.

I commit to the ground the remains of what could have been and was not.
