Rusty Lions offers powder coating services in NJ to meet the varying demands of architectural, commercial, and industrial clients. We're known to exceed customer expectations with metal finishing services that meet even the toughest specifications.
We utilize a three-step process to ensure the proper job of your components. Rusty Lions also offers sandblasting services as a method for pretreatment and surface preparation to properly prepare metal surfaces for the coating job or stripping off old paint.
We have an automated paint line that can house large components. For bigger parts, our offline batch spray booth ensures the best possible finish in every aspect.
Our Powder Coating Process
● Preparation
The metal component must be washed off any oil, dirt, grease, or metal oxides. This can be done using sandblasting, a mechanical process, and various chemical processes as well. Depending on the size and nature of the part, we can effectively prepare your components with the suitable method for the paint job at hand.
● Powder Coating
Next, the powder is sprayed onto the components using an electrostatic gun that imposes a negative charge and releases it with compressed air. The charged particles adhere to the component's surface due to the negative charge.
● Curing
The last stage is curing, where the component is baked at high temperatures for the powder to melt, flow out, and adhere to the surface uniformly.
