The ceaseless ages are so cold,
Drifting through these years so stale,
Ending the broken and the old,
And felling the warriors, to warlord’s hail.
My cold dead eyes,
Sweep over this plane,
Never taking sides,
As their life wanes.
Cursed, I roam forevermore,
My lusts and sins weighing down my soul,
Punishment for crimes abhorred,
My tribes died out, songs sung no more.
The great one loath me,
His wrath, they adore,
For taking a life,
Take them forevermore.
But through these ages,
So cold and dim,
Your light shines out,
I investigate, on but a whim.
I see you there,
So fair and sweet,
Bestowing your care,
To all you meet.
My twisted form presses,
Back into this world,
I approach your innocence,
Destiny, this way has hurled.
But unlike the others,
Who turn and then run,
You greeted me kindly,
Could you be the one?
I take you with me,
On my marvelous journey,
Dancing and laughing,
But time is my enemy.
Our time is poisoned,
But you know not why,
Why you hear me in the night,
Trying to die.
For my curse is eternal,
My enemies I don’t pick,
All souls must pass on,
Even if they’re not sick.
One day you awake,
You see me in tears,
You ask me what in this foul world I must fear.
But doomsday will come,
For each and everyone,
For not even my love,
Can make it undone.
I tell you I must go,
To see them in charge,
You know somethings wrong,
But still you don’t ask.
I kiss you farewell,
Then rise to the heavens,
Seek out the cruel god,
To whom I’m indebted.
I pleaded with him,
I screamed and I cried,
I ordered him let me,
Hang onto my prize.
But he merely laughed,
He looked into my eyes,
He said to me that I should not be surprised.
Everything ends, all by my hand,
Not even a sweet one like you,
Can withstand.
Your time has run out,
I take you in my hands,
I wed us right there,
Then you run out of sands.
I gaze down mournfully,
At your clock’s final tick.
Till death do we part,
And part us I did.
