As a senior executive in the federal public service, you are eligible for long-term disability insurance benefits under Increased Social And Community Participation Ndis ifyou are totally disabled and are no longer able to work.
Coverage under the long-term disability Ndis Community Participation is mandatory if you are a full-time or part-time employee who is appointed for a period of six months or more. Coverage takes effect on the date of your eligibility.
Here are the key elements of the long-term disability plan:
- benefits begin to be paid after the 13th week of Mobile Occupational Therapist Sydney or after all of your paid sick leave has been used, whichever is later;
- income from other sources is subtracted from long-term disability insurance benefits;
- long-term disability insurance benefits are indexed to a maximum of 3% to take into account the cost of living;
- long-term disability insurance benefits will continue to be paid to you if you participate in a vocational rehabilitation program (see the Rehabilitation Services section).
Payment of benefits
If you become disabled and are recognized as being eligible to receive Ndis Providers Sydney benefits under the long-term disability insurance plan, the amount of your benefits, which will be subject to tax, will be equivalent to 70% of your monthly salary before your disability (the amount excludes performance pay) minus all other benefits paid for the same disability. - disability benefits paid under the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) or the Quebec Pension Plan (QPP), with the exception of benefits payable directly or indirectly to dependents following your disability;
- benefits paid under the Government Employees Compensation Act or similar benefits payable under a plan of the federal government or any other government that offers similar benefits;
- disability benefits paid or payable under another group insurance plan or a policy established for you by reason of your membership in a union or a public service association;
- income replacement benefits paid under a decision recognizing damage caused by a third party.
Your net benefits (i.e. the amount payable after subtracting any other income in the form of deductions) will be increased each year according to the increase in the cost of living up to 3%.
Retroactive salary increases granted after the start of payment of long-term disability benefits will vary the insured salary and the level of benefits only if the date on which the increase takes effect precedes the start of payment. Ndis Gardening Providers Sydney will give your benefits.
You are not eligible for benefits under the long-term disability insurance plan:
if your disability results from a physical or mental disorder prior to the entry into force of the insurance - this exclusion falls if you exercise your functions normally for 90 consecutive days after the entry into force of the long-term disability insurance duration or if you joined the long-term disability insurance plan for two years, whichever comes first;
During the period in which you receive the benefits from Ndis Transport Providers Sydney, you must be under the direct care of a doctor specialized in the field related to the affection from which you are affected. You must also receive medical treatment or participate in a rehabilitation program and the treatment or program must meet the criteria of the insurer.
