Specialityvalve is a well reputed Thermostatic steam trap manufacturer in India. Thermostatic Steam Traps rely on the temperature differential between steam and condensate to function. The temperature of the condensate is lower than that of the steam. Thermostatic steam traps have a port that opens or closes based on the inlet fluid's temperature. Steam traps are automatic valves that filter out condensate and non-condensable gases like air while enabling steam to flow at a steady rate. It's most commonly used as a source of heat or mechanical power.
Operating principle of a thermostatic steam trap:
The trap is entirely open when it first starts up, removing the air and releasing the condensate. The evaporation of the liquid inside the thermostatic capsule membrane causes a pressure differential, causing the aperture to close when the temperature reaches the saturated steam level proportional to the pressure. The liquid condenses when the condensate cools, lowering the membrane's internal pressure. The resulting pressure differential will encourage external pressure acting on the membrane to retract and open the aperture, allowing condensate to discharge, and the cycle will repeat.
Advantages:
1. Highest Efficiency
2. Simple to Maintain

Thermodynamic Steam Trap Manufacturer in India
Specialityvalve is the most trusted Thermodynamic Steam Trap Manufacturer in India. Thermodynamic steam traps have a novel operating method based on water and flash steam dynamics. Thermodynamic steam traps are the most common steam traps used to remove condensate from main lines. It is widely utilised due to its small size, wide pressure range, single moving part, water hammer resistance, and corrosion resistance. Thermodynamic steam traps work on the thermodynamic principle. Thermodynamic steam traps are reliable and easy to use, with only one rotating disc. They're simple, tough, and dependable, and they can withstand extremely high temperatures and pressures.
What is a steam trap?
Steam traps are automatic valves that filter away condensate (condensed steam) and non-condensable gases like air while allowing steam to escape. Steam is frequently utilised in industry for heating or as a driving force for mechanical power. Steam traps are utilised in these situations to prevent steam from being wasted.
Advantages:
- Thermodynamic traps can operate across their complete working range without requiring any internal adjustments or changes.
- They are small, simple, light, and have a considerable condensate capacity in relation to their size.
- Thermodynamic traps are unaffected by waterhammer or vibration and can be employed with high pressure and superheated steam. The all-stainless steel construction resists corrosive condensate to a high degree.
- Freezing does not harm thermodynamic traps, and they are unlikely to freeze if positioned with the disc in a vertical plane and discharged freely to the atmosphere. However, operating in this configuration may cause the disc edge to wear out.
- Maintenance can be performed without removing the trap from the line because the disc is the only moving part.
