While I figured things out,

You were loving and patient

And did not push or pout.

You let me sort through

Some things, as they are

Even though my approach

To you seemed bizarre.

We each handle things

In our own different ways,

One tends to "go looking"

While the other one stays--

And waits for an answer,

A signal, or sign

We both, in the end

Are of a like mind.

And maybe that's why

We work like we do

You bring out my best

I complement you.

I know it's not easy

And is even frustrating

But we both know I'm worth it,
