Types of teeth braces:
The teeth braces are ideal for any age, however recommended age is 7 years at least. There are many types of braces which one can opt for depending on their choice and dental problem. One of the most popular teeth braces is invisalign that is made of 18 to 30 clear plastic aligners which are custom made and these aligners can be replaced every two weeks. These are invisible and patients can drink and eat anything with these. However, they would need to keep these off while they sleep, drink or eat. These must be worn on for 20 to 22 hours every day. It is an expensive treatment and treatment may take longer.
Working of braces and treatment with it:
There are actual devices attached to the teeth and comprises of brackets which are stuck to the teeth and a metal wire. The metal wires work in conjunction to the brackets that helps the teeth to move in required position and sometimes, some other devices are also used with braces that help to move the jaw, bone and teeth. These devices are expansion devices. The orthodontics works on the teeth movement and makes uses of these devices with the braces that help the patient to get proper teeth in place. With proper force and constant pressure, the braces work properly. Before you go for braces, a thorough evaluation by your dentist is important. Some x-rays, teeth positions, etc. will be taken in consideration and then the best type of braces will be suggested by the doctor for best results.
