words echoing inside a soul

long grown cold

like the sounds of my angry cries each time

your disappointment burns my

flesh

trying to gain your

approval

passing the mirror the reflection

of my retreating back

glares back at me in

disgust

I can't stand the sight

Instead turning away from eyes

once glowing with the promise

of all she could be

now the light of hope has grown

dim

past mistakes constantly hurled back

at me like darts

their sting a painful reminder

of the faith you've lost in me

Believe in me!

So i might again find the strength to

believe in me too
