Everyone is different, we are all made unique by God. Since we are all unique we each have different ways of worshiping God. When I say worship most people think instruments, dim lights, a good looking person on a guitar giving all his praises to God, however worship is more than that. If you are a book person you can worship through reading, retaining the informations and applying it to every day life. Another form of worship is serving. Going out and helping a person. In the bible it says you can have faith like mountains but without love it's nothing. So loving people through serving is a great way of worshiping.
For myself my style of worshiping is the typical music worship. I feel a connection to God when the music starts to play. Lots of time I just want to surrender and I do that by raising my hands up or by kneeling. Some people are really uncomfortable with the idea of that. My good friend Levi Peterson said it right on the mark. When we raise our hands up it's like an infant wanting their parent to pick them up. They are saying that they are safe, and they want the comfort of that person. Kneeling sometimes can also be difficult. Lots of time my head says don't kneel the others around you are going to think your weird, or they're going to think you are "showing off." This summer I came to the realization that i am worshiping God and I'm not going to let judgement of others change what I do. I'm here to praise God and to surrender my life to him. So I want to encourage you, don't let others dictate how you want to worship. People are always going to talk about you, don't take it personally. Do what feels right to you, what makes you happy, what really connects you to God!
