Who is like the wind?
Unseen but real none the less, often silently still
As gentle as a sleeping babies breath but as powerful as the storm
As hot as fire or as cold as ice, it doth leave its mark
Who is like the wind?
What is not touched or moved by its spirit?
Its influence is often misinterpreted
It’s purposed to leave abandoned or direct one home
Who is like the wind?
Relentlessly present, its patience does imply
Infinitely life filled, the fragrance of time must yield
Who is like the wind?
Does, the great bowing branches wonder,
with every leaf begging for mercy.
As does the butterfly, and every dried up pool
Who is like the wind?
In all directions at once, who reaps its benefits,
are the recipients thereof.
Be they true and noble and just and pure and lovely.
And I’ll not answer this question with yet another.
