These are typical signs that you lack confidence and self-esteem.
But don’t bury your head in sand just yet. There is a way out which I’ll explain in this video.
Self-confidence is about having enough trust in yourself and the belief that you can handle situations and tasks efficiently and effectively.
It’s knowing that you have the skills to approach someone in a social or professional environment and hold a conversation
also to know that you can meet challenges in the work place or
at home knowing that you have the capability to deal with them.
It's knowing that being yourself is good enough.
People lacking in confidence often hold themselves in a very protective way, maybe with their shoulders hunched and their head hanging, arms folded, legs crossed, generally making themselves as compact as they can Almost apologetic.
This often shows a lack of confidence and a feeling of not being as good as others.
The National Association for Self-Esteem has linked low self-esteem to a number of negative behaviours among teens, including:
• Poor academic performance
• Teen pregnancy
• Dropping out of school
• Earlier sexual activity
• Criminal behaviour
• Alcohol and drug abuse
• Disordered eating

Low self-esteem is more than an unpleasant feeling. It takes a toll on our lives.
Why don't you have confidence?
Confidence and lack of confidence is not inherited. It is learned and often from a young age.
Self-esteem is simply how you feel about yourself and how you judge your worth.
This evaluation has a profound impact on the choices you make as it determines, to a great extent, what you consider yourself capable and worthy of doing.
Quote: “Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it. ”
M. Scott Peck
If we value ourselves and, therefore, our time, we’ll do things that are meaningful, which in turn makes us more valuable to ourselves (as well as the world around us).
Without a proper amount of self-valuing, we don’t pursue meaningful activities.
Instead, we get stuck in a cycle of de-valuing ourselves and not doing anything meaningful to boost our sense of self-worth.
How can you overcome lack of confidence?
- Take Time Out To Get To Know Yourself. Forget what everyone else demands of you and think about what you want in life. Write it down and be true to yourself. Once you’re true to yourself your mind will become clear and you’ll start seeing the world from a more positive angle.

- Think Positive thoughts – Get rid of negative thoughts and negative people in your life. These thoughts and people are the killer of progress. You need to move on and surround yourself with people that encourage you to become who you really want to become.
- Set Clear goals – Lack of clarity creates chaos and frustration. Those emotions are poison to any living goal. Set achievable goals and begin to reward yourself at each stage of your achievement towards your chosen path.
