Organic girl started because, well, we wanted to give our taste buds something to scream about. Sure, there were health-related reasons, sure we were more aware of the chemicals we were introducing into our systems, sure we were a bit wary about the widespread usage of genetics and the increase of GMO articles in the supermarket aisle. Sure, all of those things made us think twice about what we wanted to buy and what we wanted to eat — but what sealed the deal was quality, taste, and freshness. We simply wanted something to sink our teeth into that would truly hit the mark. Juicy produce, velvety vegetables, crazy-delicious flavors. That’s really why we created Organic Girl, we just wanted to make a festival out of every meal.
The story of Organic Girl
Organic Girl is nestled in the fertile Salinas Valley of California. The Salinas Valley is one of the most productive agricultural regions in the state. Located just west of the Joaquin Valley, this 90 miles stretch of land is nurtured thanks to the Salinas River — creating a rich fluvial valley that simply overflows with nutrient-wealthy soil.
The valley has a long and gorgeous history, full of ranchers, natives, Spanish conquistadors — this is the place where John Steinbeck set two of his novels, “East of Eden” and “Of Mice And Men.”
At Organic Girl, we simply couldn’t pass off the opportunity to edit ourselves into its history.
So you’re all girls?
Nope, not by a longshot. For example, our CEO, Randy Staehle, has a Y chromosome that sort of sets him apart. We’re not all girls, the name is simply something that reminds us of our values — it's the spirit and attitude of that name that inspires us to be better. A soul that calls back to Mother Nature, to our feminine sides, to our need to curate and cultivate.
Organic Girl is a small team of hard-working folks of all sexes that have decided to join forces in order to shift the paradigm and deliver great-tasting products, all organic, to the American table. All our products are organically grown - without chemical or genetic alterations - in the Salinas Valley.
Randy’s vision for a more natural food experience started out in 2007. He, along with some of his like-minded peers, decided to change the industry by delivering fresh, organic, tasty products loaded with nutrients and as healthy as humanly possible.
At Organic Girl, we dedicate ourselves to not only grow better foods but package and deliver them to your door in a prompt and efficient manner. We are continually trying to better ourselves, update our specs, and create finer products. Fresher ideas, better ingredients, ingenious recipes.
Our story is simple, there’s no great fanfare to it. What really matters is what every single one of us stands for — premium quality products, 100% sustainability, pure organic treats, and unbelievably tasty goods. The best flavor at an affordable price. You only live once, so let each bite leave an impression.
