Understanding Dyslexia
Dyslexia is also known as a reading disability. It is a learning disorder characterized by reading difficulties. The difficulties are caused by struggles in identifying speech sounds and interpreting how they relate to letters and words. Other information, such as the childÕs or teenÕs age and grade level, may be included in the dyslexia test report, but only as an approximation, and should never be used as measures of academic achievement.
