Outline
Afghan dogs are a very ancient breed that live in Sinai. They are mentioned frequently in the Egyptian papyruses. The fact that trading of these dogs was first forbidden helped to preserve the purity of this breed. At the beginning of the last century, these dogs only recently appeared in Europe. The Afghan dog was used by shepherds as a guard dog and to chase snow panthers, wolves, deer, and wild goats.
Personality
Afghan dogs are incredibly noble dogs. Despite the fact that they sometimes appear to be far away, they are also very sensitive, thoughtful, and loyal dogs. Although this is a strong variety, if they don't stand out, they will vanish. Afghan dogs adapt best to homes with children.
Care
The Afghan dog is a large shedder and has exceptionally high preparation requirements. To keep these dogs' coats in excellent shape, they should be prepared twice a week for an hour at a time. The ear entrance of these dogs must be kept clean at all times. Afghan dogs should not only be washed once or twice on a regular basis but also followed by the use of a good quality cleaner. If not, kids risk developing dry skin. Likewise, make an effort to brush these canines' teeth once day. A good dental foundation could help by serving as an addition to the teeth cleaning. The Afghan dog will not make the best dog.
medical problems
Afghan dogs are often healthy dogs. They will yet feel the effects of the injury, regardless of how slight it may be, because they actually have a very poor aggravation resistance.
Preparing
In order to properly care for these dogs, potential owners are advised to have some prior experience with dog ownership. Afghan dogs are notoriously difficult to train since they are so independent. They do not respond well when coaches yell or hit them, in fact. They won't do much more than undermine their esteem for you. These dogs should be trained with tough leadership that is also mixed with some tenderness.
