Check Passport online

The government has moved most visa transactions online, except for the exit visa, which costs Rs 2,080. Over 300,000 visas have been issued through this system. NADRA headquarters are being established in every tehsil, and mobile registration for identity cards has begun in FATA.

Important Notes:

• Only urgent passport applications are being accepted.
• Applicants over 50 must submit coronavirus reports.
• Non-essential visitors are not allowed in passport offices.
• A mobile app is available for passport holders to track their applications.

Steps to Check Passport Online:

1. Visit the DGIP Website:

• Go to the official Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) website: www.dgip.gov.pk.
• Navigate to the passport tracking section: tracking.dgip.gov.pk to check passport online.

1. Register and Track:

• Register as a user on the website.
• Enter your 11-digit tracking number from your token to check passport online.

1. Using the Mobile App:

• Download the "Passport Fee Asan" app from the Play Store.
• Select the appropriate category (New Passport, Old Passport, Renewal).
• Enter your CNIC number and token number to check passport online.

1. SMS Tracking:

• Send your 11-digit token number via SMS to 9988.
• You will receive your passport status on your mobile device within seconds, allowing you to check passport online.

Additional Information:

• The online tracking system can be accessed up to three times a day to check passport online.
• Only passports processed in the last three months can be tracked.
• The Directorate General Immigration & Passports provides updates on passport processing stages via SMS to the specified mobile number.

Visa Information for Pakistani Citizens:

• Saudi Arabia offers on-arrival visas for Pakistani citizens to perform Umrah, valid for one year, but not for Hajj.
• A Schengen visa from the US, UK, or Europe is required.
• The visa costs 400 riyals and must be paid by credit card at any international airport.
• First-time tourists must fly on a Saudi airline.
