Smiling is the last thing one should expect when viewing a film about love and health. I'm laughing a lot. This is still the case with We Live in Time. Nick Payne's movie is the ideal medium for presenting the reality of two persons leading completely typical lives, complete with all the minor mishaps, in a way that and situations that may prove to be at least humorous. The editing consistently contributes to keeping a light, although never shallow, tone when the action erupts.
