All these scientists and religious pontificators, are all looking for answers they’ll never find. Some say the world is six thousand years old, others say it’s fifteen billion years old. Either answer would be considered absurd. “Oh it’s god that started everything”, “the big bang was the cause of existence”. Well both of those answers contain another question. What created god? Is there a god of the gods? Well if so what created that god? Ha I bet the science nerds are laughing over that one, but too bad because I’m coming for you next. The Big Bang is the best theory we’ve had since Hubble initiated that paradigm shift, but what created the Big Bang? The science nerd answers some quantum fluctuation? Well what created that quantum fluctuation? Another quantum fluctuation? Or you could say we’re inside a simulation inside a simulation inside a simulation inside another simulation, well where’s the start? Do you get it now? Do you see the problem? it’s like a chain of dominos with an impossible beginning and an impossible end. Absolute absurdity. While we’re at it, what if time does run forever, if it already has been running forever, just an infinite stream where the fish jump to catch a glimpse of what’s on the other side, but fish they’ll ever be. So just as the physicist’s mock the philosophers in spite of being technologically superior, the philosopher laughs at them for thinking they know anything at all. Eventually the stream will come to an ocean or a waterfall, but the flow, the changing never ends, the one constant that’s standing behind us wielding a baseball bat. The stream water diffuses into the ocean, but given enough time the same water will end up back in the stream again. If time is infinite, but we are not and there’s only a finite amount of arrangements of energy, given an infinity, it’ll have to repeat itself eventually, it’s only a matter of time. If it’s true that things do not last forever, well nouns are things and death is a thing, so death does not last forever? Perhaps we’ll never know, after all we’re just thrown into the world like a bubble blown by a child, have some fun then it’s time to go. A gentle pop in, a brief moment of confusion, then a violent pop out. did the soap at the bottom of the container realize it was its turn to become a bubble? Was it really waiting in line for a chance at the absence of nothing?
