When I did an interview for SUCCESS Magazine there was a question about what I believe makes a happy and successful life. I said the level of joy you feel is equal to how successful you are; and then a reader asked me to define joy further.
I thought about it for a moment and realized there's one HUGE difference between happiness and joy, one that all of us can benefit from understanding. See, joy is sustainable - it can outshine the darkest moments, and keep you present to everything that is good in your life. Happiness is a feeling. It comes and it goes, and to try and gauge a successful life based on happiness alone could do more harm than good. I explain it deeper in this video (one of my faves so far). What brings you joy? We would all love to know.
