Sexual abuse and sexual trauma run rampant in person and now online. Prevention and Recovery are the keys to protecting our children and families. In this vulnerable talk, Clint gives us guidance and direction about the importance of speaking to our children in a healthy and age appropriate way about consent, body safety, proper terms for private parts, and sexual development. Clint speaks about things most of us have experienced, but never discussed, due to self-protection, shame, and fear. Childhood Sexual Neglect is a term that needs to be understood, discussed, and strategically addressed across cultures, ethnicities, politics and religions! Clint Davis is an army veteran, ordained minister and Licensed Professional Counselor trained in trauma and certified in sexual addiction recovery through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. He is a speaker, writer, and hosts the “Asking Why” podcast. Clint founded Clint Davis Counseling and Integrative Wellness where he has a team of Mental Health Professionals, Doctors, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors and Dietitians, in 5 locations, who help people recover from trauma to the mind, body, and spirit. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
