Donald Trump backed by Indian origin Vivek Ramaswamy
In one of the biggest developments in American politics, the Republican Vivek Ramaswamy has dropped out of the race and has endorsed Donald Trump, former US President.
Vivek Ramaswamy, a multi-millionaire former biotech executive, ended his White House bid on Monday after his longshot bid caught attention but failed to catapult him high enough in the Republican Party’s first nominating contest in Iowa. Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old born in Ohio to immigrant parents from southern India, was one of the surprises of the 2024 Republican race dominated by former President Trump.
He said with his wife by his side, “As I’ve said since the beginning, there are two America First candidates in this race and I called Donald Trump to tell him that.” “I congratulated him on his victory and now going forward he will have my full endorsement for the presidency, and I think we’re gonna do the right thing for this country.”
