Forgiveness and Repentance Prayers

Father, thank you for your promise to forgive my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me.

Lord Jesus, thank you for dying so that I might be forgiven. 

By a choice of my will...I choose to forgive __________________ (name the person) for __________________ (say what they did).

When that happened I felt _____________________ (speak out how you felt). 

I choose to release __________________ (name the person) into the freedom of my forgiveness and from my judgement, taking him/her off my hook and putting him/her into your Just and Merciful hands. Amen. 

Repent of sinful behaviours: (ungodly reaction to hurt)

Father, I come to you, through Jesus to confess and repent of: __________________________.

Thank you God, that as I repent, my sins are as far as the east is from the west, so far have you removed my transgressions from me. 

Prayer to cut ties:

Thank you God, for forgiveness and the promised freedom that comes through my obedience. I'm asking you, Jesus, to now come and cut the spirit, soul and body tie that keeps me bound to _____________________ (name the person).

Please remove the consequences of the tie and bring full healing and restoration to that area of my life. 

I now speak to all spirits from the kingdom of darkness that have a foothold in my life through this circumstance. You have heard me forgive, and repent, and Jesus has cut the ties so now your authority over me is taken away, and I say to you, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that you must leave me and go to where Jesus appoints you to go. 

I pray all this in the authority that I have as a child of God because of Jesus' death and resurrection.
