The annual Made By Google event is set to take place on August 13, 2024, and excitement is already building around the anticipated product announcements. This year, Google is expected to unveil several new devices, with a notable focus on the Pixel 9 series features & specifications. Historically, Google’s Pixel line was unveiled in the fall, but this year’s early launch has generated significant buzz. The event is expected to showcase four new models, including a foldable version, deviating from the usual three-model release pattern.
Pixel 9 Series Features & Specifications Overview
The Pixel 9 series will feature several new models, each with distinct upgrades. The base Pixel 9 will come with an enhanced camera system, featuring a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary lens and a 48MP ultrawide lens. This configuration promises improved low-light photography and overall image quality. It will also offer a 6.3-inch display, 12GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
The Pixel 9 Pro will share the same display size as the standard model but will boast advanced features, including a revamped camera module with a 50MP primary sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto lens. An upgraded 42MP front-facing camera will enhance selfies. This model will come with 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to be similar to the Pixel 8 Pro, featuring a larger 6.8-inch display and a bigger battery. It will include an additional telephoto camera and continue to use the Tensor G4 SoC. Despite being a successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, the Pro XL is anticipated to be priced higher.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will mark Google’s continued foray into the foldable market with a lighter, thinner design. It will feature an 8-inch main display and a 6.3-inch cover screen, alongside an upgraded camera module.
