- Eat more fish
Consume more seafood. Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids, which may lower your chance of prostate cancer. Some fish have higher levels of these acids than others, such as mackerel, salmon, sardines, trout, and tuna etc.
- Eat tomatoes and other red foods
Red foods plays an important part in cancer-prevention diet because they contain a powerful antioxidant called lycopene. Studies suggest that cooking tomatoes make it easier for your body to absorb lycopene. When choosing tomatoes, the redder they are the better.
- Drink coffee
It is commonly acknowledged that drinking coffee reduces the risk of prostate cancer. Some research show that consuming four or five cups of coffee every day can considerably reduce your risk of acquiring deadly or high-grade prostate cancer. However, excessive caffeine use might raise the risk of an irregular heartbeat and seizures. If you decide to consume coffee to minimize your risk of prostate cancer, see your doctor about how much coffee is appropriate for you.
- Eat less animal fat
According to studies, eating animal fats increases your chance of developing prostate cancer. This includes the fat in beef, butter, and cheese. Whenever feasible, substitute animal fats with plant-based fats (for example, olive oil instead of butter).
