Seasons

The look in her eyes can calm the beast within...her touch like an Autumn breeze
A blanket of serenity covers me
The barren ground now filled with colorful leaves
As a cool air mixes with that Summer breeze, and days become shorter, her everlasting beauty becomes evident
My wintry soul warmed by her compassion
The icy encasing that once glazed over it
Is slowly becoming irrelevant
The Moon like a crescent, a cold chill being felt through a drafty window, silhouettes of the trees dancing through the fog, as I bask in her elegance
She makes me feel what I thought was lost
Her warmth a fireplace crackling low
As the ice melts within me
I'm completely mesmerized by her inner glow
She is fire and I the snow
She sustains me through the cold
And I cool her when she can't take the heat
Together we can withstand the seasons
She's my summer vacation
And I her winter retreat
