You will always be a poem to me
A poem I read over and over again
You were my sun, you were my world
The dream I dreamt day and night
The wretched memory in my mind
I can't see to get you out of my sight
You were the words I wrote all over my notebook, the one thing I can not escape
My hands bound behind my back
With knotted strings i can not unlatch
A voice that screams at my thoughts
A wretched scene that replays over and over with no end
A thought I hate, a voice that will not leave
Now you are nothing to me
A note I can finally quit playing
The words I can finally erase
A blocked memory that finally found its end
A poem is what you will always be
But a poem to me is what you will never be
