Students will learn about various video capture devices and software used in movie making and video editing of laparoscopic procedures. In the advanced course, the surgeon will learn in OT environment – laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair TAPP & TEP, MIPH or stapler hemorrhoidectomy, and ventral hernia repair with laparoscopic IPOM technique.
In the advanced course, the gynecologist will learn in OT environment laparoscopic sterilization, laparoscopic salpingectomy, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic salpingo-oophorectomy, laparoscopic ovarian drilling, laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) and total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH). Gynecologists will also learn the instrument used and various procedures done in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.
The pediatric surgeon will learn laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic repair of diaphragmatic hernia, laparoscopic hernia repair, and laparoscopic orchidopexy. The urologist will learn laparoscopic varicocelectomy and laparoscopic nephrectomy.

Timetable of Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery - FMAS
Training will be conducted from Monday to Saturday except Sundays. So, the total effective training days for FMAS will be 12 days.
Training will also not be held on National Holidays – Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi & Diwali, which will be covered in additional working day.

01:30 pm – 03:00 pm Laparoscopic surgery practical guidelines Demonstration of Laparoscopic Instruments Design (Part I): including Veress needle, Hassons cannula, port access instruments, dissecting instruments, various graspers and scissors.
03:00 pm – 04:30 pm Lecture / PPT / Video presentation Introduction of Minimal Access Surgery including Robotics, HALS, NOTES, TEM and SILS.
