A McMansion is a colloquial term usually referring to a large, often ostentatious, mass-produced builder's house. McMansions or similarly larger houses decked out with swimming pools, fire pits, and large decks became popular again in the real estate market during the COVID-19 pandemic, when people were seeking more space outside and inside.
