The Mycat Team
MyCAT team is dedicated to building a trusted environment for crypto investors of all experience levels. To do this, they release educational content on a variety of topics such as market analysis, trading strategies, risk management and more.
The app uses the Feline Grimace Scale (FGS), a scientifically validated tool that measures acute pain in cats based on changes in their facial expressions. Its accuracy is 97 per cent with adults cats of most breeds.
Become a part of the team
The mycat team is made up of a dedicated group of experts who are passionate about cats and their protection. This includes veterinary clinic staff, shelter staff, cat behavior specialists and cat owners. The team also comprises a team of animal rescuers, who help in finding, reuniting and rehabilitating injured animals.
Founded in 2003, MYCAT is an alliance between four partner NGOs and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia (DWNP). The partnership comprises four organisations that focus on conservation in Malaya – the Malaysian Nature Society, TRAFFIC, Wildlife Conservation Society-Malaysia and WWF-Malaysia. The organisation is helmed by tiger biologist Dr. Kae Kawanishi and has been a key contributor to tiger conservation efforts in Malaysia.
The MYCAT Working Group is the engine behind the alliance and comprises representatives from all of the partner organisations as well as the MYCAT Secretariat's Office. It acts as a communication and coordination platform to mobilise joint conservation action by keeping individual partner organisations informed of developments in tiger conservation. It also coordinates initiatives such as the Wildlife Crime Hotline and the CAT Walk, where volunteers hike through critical wildlife habitat to safeguard it against illegal activities.
Qualifications
The CAT team is composed of two groups, Core CAT members and Field CAT personnel. Core CAT members are full-time support contractors who are selected from participating DOE field sites and the Office of Service Support (OST). These individuals are qualified in job-related skills, such as familiarization with Department threat policy and adversary capabilities, tactics, weaponry, and equipment. They must also be able to formulate, execute, and train others on tactical planning and understand ESS and FOF exercise safety principles.
Field CAT members are selected from DOE field SPOs and FAs who are certified in the job. They are based on nominations submitted by a site's field S&S Director (or equivalent) with the assistance of the CAT Program Manager. This process is designed to avoid undue burden on any one site, and to encourage participation by as many participating organizations as possible.
