Self-respect is all about being ok with what you do out in the world. If act against your values, you'll lose respect for yourself.
Developing self-respect and self-esteem has been a lifelong process of mine because I wasn't taught by anyone what self-respect even looks like.
Developing self-respect is not something that is taught in school and unfortunately, most people don't have the wherewithal to understand how to develop self-respect and where it comes from (unless you were lucky enough to be raised by people who taught you all about life and how to understand your emotions)
In this video I share with you strategies on how to build and develop your self-respect from the ground up as well as what to do about past mistakes that have caused you to lose respect for yourself.
Building your self-respect comes down to 2 things:
1. Get clear on what you value. (James Clear has a good list of core values to have a look at: https://jamesclear.com/core-values)
2. Stop caring what other people think.
