Enphase Energy is a company based in the United States that creates solar microinverters. Miniaturized inverters that operate on a per-panel basis, such those made by Enphase. It's a radical departure from the standard practice of connecting many solar panels to a single string inverter.
As Enphase microinverters operate at the panel level, they provide a variety of benefits over string inverters, like as redundancy, more flexible system design, monitoring of individual panels, and increased safety. Expect to spend somewhat more for a microinverter-based setup, however.

The Enphase IQ 7 series is the company's seventh generation microinverter, and it's great for both residential and commercial setups. The IQ 7 series is almost 50% lighter than its predecessor, allowing it to accommodate more powerful solar panels.
Grid-independent Enphase IQ8.
In Australia, the upcoming IQ8 series of "grid-independent" gadgets has been met with great anticipation. In other words, IQ8-enabled solar power systems can keep a home's lights on during a power outage without the need for a backup battery (assuming solar energy output is available). Yet more Enphase hardware is required for this function, increasing the overall price.
When this page was last updated in February 2023, Enphase said it anticipated IQ8 microinverters will become available in Australia sometime during the second quarter of that year.
As of early 2023, Enphase Energy was largely regarded as the world leader in microinverter technology, having delivered roughly 58 million devices in total. With representation in major global markets including France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and China, the firm has built a strong worldwide reputation.
Enphase has an office in Melbourne, where they service local clients and provide both technical and commercial support, and in Christchurch, New Zealand, where they help out our Kiwi guests.
In addition to solar panels and associated hardware, Enphase also manufactures batteries, gateways, monitors, toolkits, and accessories for solar panel installation. By 2024, the business also hopes to provide a bidirectional EV charger.
Enphase may have its headquarters in California, but its goods are made by partners in countries like Mexico, India, and China. Towards the end of 2022, Enphase revealed its intention to establish a number of domestic production hubs in the United States by the middle of 2023.
