To Exist

The weight of the gun was immense, empowered by the strength of his grasp or the empowerment came within and resulted in the grip strength, as he put it into his mouth he felt comforted knowing that his world would soon come to an abrupt end, it didn’t matter though, the universe was indifferent to his decision. He pulled the trigger and it went off in his hand, the bullet tore through the back of his head and he dropped to his knees and crumpled over onto the floor. That was it, that was life, his thirty six years of accumulated memories was gone in an instant, like the RAM of a computer being fully immersed in gasoline and tossed into the sun. It was gone, whatever that was, his brain must’ve recorded an awful lot of information, but maybe hardly anything at all. His life, is it any different than that of the odd housefly that bites the dust after being obliterated with a times magazine? He opted out, as Sartre would’ve said, “no respect for his executioner”.
