The dock, which covers approximately 300 acres and features four berths, is competent in managing more than 1 million vessel lifts in a given year and provides unparalleled customer service.
WBCT includes 15 post Panamax ships to the shore cranes, 38 top handlers, 21 transtainers, and more than 170 yards of hustlers within its fleet. With its partnership with the UP and Railroads, WBCT provides an all-service On Dock Rail operation that provides service to more than 25 inland locations.
WBCT utilizes sophisticated procedures and the latest terminal technology to ensure an excellent level of service for all terminals. The Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) and Optical Character Readers (OCR) as well as Differential Global Positioning Systems (DGPS) are just a few examples of WBCT terminal technology. They create a tracking system that permits WBCT to guarantee unbeatable inventory reliability when paired with the terminal Operating System (TOS).

In 2016, WBCT served 211 ships at the Port of Los Angeles, making up 15% of the containerized cargo. In addition, they run one of the best and most secure cargo terminals within the Port and keep a high production standard.

The vessels berthing at 100 and 102 berths can connect to AMP stations and eliminate the need for ships to run their generators when they are berthing.
WBCT container tracking utilizes an advanced gateway system to offer a complete service for In and out for all container - cargo types that use containers. The system integrates OCR along with Weigh in Motion (WIM) and other technologies to record data on the box, vehicle, and chassis.
For WBCT, the security of the facility is paramount. Through the years of working together to ensure the security of the terminal and secure, they have built strong relations with federal authorities. The Yard Operation department is in charge of receiving and shipping cargo containers to trucks coming through the terminal's entry point in a secure and efficient way.
