Eduardo E. Jaén faces new challenges in the private sector carrying out a new commercial proposal. A consulting company specialized in the development and financing of information technology and telecommunications projects.
After completing his work as General Administrator of the National Authority for Government Innovation, where Engineer Eduardo Jaén promoted the use of computer and communications technologies in government processes and after having promoted better services to citizens and greater government efficiency; he decided to continue his successful career in the private sector.
Eduardo E. Jaén is also the Chairman of the Board of THP International, Inc., a company that specializes in project development and venture capital management. In 1976, Engineer Eduardo Jaén began his professional career at the IBM Corporation and by 1984, he had been appointed General Manager of IBM de Panama, the local subsidiary. From 1987 to 1992 he held various international positions, including Regional General Manager and Executive Assistant to the President of IBM Latin America. He resigned from IBM in 1993.
Since then, Eduardo Jaén has offered consulting and market development services to leading companies such as Xerox, AT&T, and Alcatel. He has also been involved in the development of several telecommunications companies in Panama and abroad and more recently has focused his attention on alternative clean energy projects, which involve the use of compressed natural gas and hydraulic energy.
Eduardo E. Jaén is active in professional, civic, and social organizations and is a former president of the American Chamber of Commerce and CoSPAE, the private sector organization for educational assistance. Eduardo E. Jaén is an Industrial Engineer who graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
