Faith, Something to Believe in
Do You Believe in Angels?
“Oh, I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give
To guide us with the light of love”
The words of that old Alabama song have always stuck with me.
Granted, I do believe in angels.
My father-in-law who passed away a number of years ago, was fascinated with the idea of angels and different dimensions. He read a lot about how, as humans, we live in a 3-Dimensional world. But according to physicists, there are some 10 possible dimensions that exist in our universe.
That’s totally mind boggling for my non-scientific brain. Especially because I only understand how it feels to live in a 3 dimensional world of length, width, and depth.
For the longest time I simply couldn’t even wrap my head around what this all meant - so my father-in-law explained it to me like this. Imagine if you lived on a piece of paper. It’s 2 dimensional so all you can see is what exists on that flat plane - length and width. But then, I come along and hover my hand above or below that piece of paper. In your 2-D world, you do not have the ability to see my hand because you cannot see height. But my hand still exists there.
My hand has the ability to access the 2-Dimensional and the 3-Dimensional planes.
My father in law explained to me that he believed that Angels live on a different dimensional plane than we do - which means that they still can access the 3-Dimensional planes that we live on. But we cannot access theirs.
So, back to that old Alabama song, yes, I do believe that there are Angels living among us, sent down to us, from another dimensional plane, up above.
